What Are Grating Clips?
Type A clamp
The Type A clamp is made of three parts: a double-hook upper plate that locks the grating, a toothed lower plate that grips the support, and an M8 socket-head screw to tighten everything securely. This design provides a firm and stable connection, preventing movement or loosening.
It’s suitable for standard steel gratings and commonly used on industrial walkways, platforms, and trench covers. Made from quality carbon or stainless steel, it’s strong, corrosion-resistant, and built to last—even in tough environments.
Type B clamp
Type B grating clamps are designed to connect two adjacent grating panels while fixing them to the support structure. They feature a double-hook upper plate (one hook extends to link neighboring gratings), a toothed lower plate, and a larger internal-angle screw.
These clamps offer strong grip and stability, making them ideal for walkways, platforms, and heavy-duty areas. Made from carbon or stainless steel, they resist vibration, shifting, and corrosion.
Type C clamp
The C-type grating clamp is a strong and easy-to-use fastener for steel gratings. It is made of three parts: a C-shaped top plate, a lower clamp, and a bolt. This design allows for a secure connection without welding or drilling.
It fits many types of steel grating and works well with different support beams. Installation is quick using standard tools, saving time and labor. The clamp is available in galvanized or stainless steel, offering good corrosion resistance for both indoor and outdoor use.
G-Type Clips
G-type clips are ideal for heavy-duty applications like heavy steel grating, military equipment, and aerospace structures. They offer greater load capacity and stability than standard clips.
